Jesse CastleberryParticipantMaybe I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t seem to figure this out. I just imported a .CSV file to create a new table, and Unfortunately, it had a lot of NULL values in the fields. I’m trying to clean that up, and when I use the Record Advanced Search Replace, it does not work. See the attached screen shot for the values I’m using. when I click Replace, it goes through the motion, but when I check my records, all my Notes fields still have null in them.

Sam MoffattParticipantI think the image upload to the forum is bugged at the moment, is there somewhere else you can upload the image for reference?

Jesse CastleberryParticipantNot really. I will rename the image and upload it again, but just in case that doesn’t work, here is what my values are:
Find what: NULL
In Field: [Notes]
Replace with: [x] Value
[ ] (<- I left this blank, no value)
[ ] Value from field
[<Unspecified>]
Replace: [ ] Only the found term
[x] Entire value
Matching: [x] Ignore case
[ ] Whole words only
Search across: [x] All records
[ ] Selected recordsSeptember 30, 2020 at 1:48 AM #42064
BrendanKeymasterHi Jesse,
When you say you’re searching for NULL, do you mean no value in the Find what field, or do you mean the characters “NULL”?
Are you using the latest Tap Forms 5.3.13 version?
I just tested this and it worked in my test.
Thanks,
Brendan

BrendanKeymasterAlso I’m not sure what’s going on with the attachments. Looking into it.

Jesse CastleberryParticipantI mean it put the string (Text value) “NULL” into the field when I imported the .CSV file, because that was in the .CSV file that I imported. I’m trying to find the string “NULL” and replace it with an empty string (nothing, “”)
I am using TapForms 5.3.13 (Build 967) for Mac.
Not sure what to say, it isn’t working on mine and I’m not sure why.

BrendanKeymasterHi Jesse,
Would you be able to email me your CSV file and I’ll play around with it here?
Thanks,
Brendan

Jesse CastleberryParticipantI don’t have your email address, I’ve I’ll just attach it here. It isn’t confidential or anything.

Daniel LeuParticipantIt seems that currently there is a problem with attachments in this forum. You can reach Brendan using support@tapforms.com.
Cheers, Daniel

BrendanKeymasterYa, I don’t know what’s going on with attachments right now. I’m hoping for a plug-in update soon. It’s supposed to be compatible with this version of WordPress, but it obviously isn’t working right. Sorry about that.
