The record preview when importing records is very helpful to see if you have designed the import template correctly; i.e. it displays the field type on screen.
However, for text fields, you cannot tell if it will be a newly created field or is an existing field; e.g. I just had a field which I thought was named “Expense” and it is “Expense Type” so I have to now redo my import.
It would be nice to see an asterisk next to new fields that will be created and some text towards the bottom of the window that states “x new fields will be created”
