John MartinParticipantI am running into a problem trying to purchase a MacOS + iOS subscription to Tap Forms Pro. I’ve downloaded Tap Forms Pro on my Mac and click the button for a discount offer for owners of Tap Forms 5. The Mac App Store opens, I provide my account credentials, confirm the purchase, and then get the following error message: Purchase of this item is not currently available. This item is being modified. Please try again later.”
I have been trying at different times over the past several days. I’ve closed and reopened Tap Forms Pro and have deleted and reinstalled Tap Forms Pro. I continue to get the same error message. I’ve also tried upgrading from the iOS version, but I don’t get the discount offer when I do that.
Any idea what might be going on? Is this a Tap Forms Pro issue or something going on with the Mac App Store? If it matters, I’m in Canada and use the Canada App Store.
Thanks.

Christopher WardParticipantI have the same issue with the same error messages. USA App Store.

BrendanKeymasterI’ve heard of a few people having this issue. But there are lots of subscriptions coming in still from all over the world, so it’s working for most people, but seems to be causing this for some people.
I did submit an update to Apple a few days ago which got rejected, but I submitted another one to Apple just today, so hopefully that’ll get approved and the store can update properly.
You can also email me and I’ll send you a link to be able to purchase it from the App Store directly from iOS as it seems it’s a Mac App Store issue.

John MartinParticipantThe error message continues after the update to Tap Forms Pro, so I will email you for the link to purchase a subscription from iOS.
In addition to the things I mentioned previously, I’ve tried logging out and back in to the Mac App Store as well as trying the purchase while booted in Safe Mode, with neither having any impact. I note that my iCloud account and my media purchases (iTunes) account are different; perhaps that is causing the problem.
Thanks for your initial response.

John MartinParticipantTo close off this topic, I emailed Brendan and he sent me the link to purchase the MacOS + iOS discounted annual subscription directly from iOS. The link worked smoothly and I’m now running Tap Forms Pro on my Mac and iPhone. I’ve migrated my databases from Tap Forms 5 without problem and am exploring the new features of Tap Forms Pro.
Thanks to Brendan for the great customer support!

BrendanKeymasterThat’s great to hear John!
Sorry for the trouble. It’s frustrating when things like this happens that’s out of my control. I’m glad the link worked though.
