Jonathan MurrellParticipantI’ve been able to import my data and sort it, but I need to review and print the data in a particular format. I’m unsure of the terms and processes with this software and not sure if it’s right for my purpose. I own a gift basket company; I have 100 products that all combine into 30 gift baskets in various combinations. I want to be able to produce various reports, but I’m not sure how to input the data and manipulate it to get to my reports
Report #1 I need to print a document, with fancy fonts that list the products contained in a gift basket – this is mailed to my customer.
Report #2 I need a picklist for each basket so staff can assemble orders – This could happen on an iOs device, but still the reporting framework needs to be there
Report #3 I need to print of the cost of each basket over time when products are added or subtracted.
If anyone can direct me to the resources or guide me on how I should input the data and manipulate it to get to the reports I need that would be great. I see a lot of promise in this software but I’m used to the very early versions of FileMaker and Access. I have all of my data in an excel table/.csv fileFebruary 2, 2017 at 1:11 PM #21018
BrendanKeymasterHi Jonathan,
1. You can do this with a custom layout. See the video that shows how to create custom layouts: https://vimeo.com/180659216
2. The printing function on iOS isn’t as advanced as it is on the Mac version. You can print basically the equivalent of the Default Layout on the Mac version. One record at a time though. The Mac version allows you to print multiple pages and even as a table of records.
3. You can tell Tap Forms to display the total of a field by setting the Summary Calculation function on the field that contains your dollar amounts.
There are a series of videos which can help you to better understand Tap Forms capabilities and features:

Thanks!
