Hi. I have 2 very simple forms. The first is a list, it has 2 fields – stock code and description (although it could potentially hold a lot more information), the second form is used for counting stock. I scan a bar code and enter a qty.
Is it possible to scan a barcode into the second form (which is a stock code) and have the matching ‘description’ data from the first (list) form imported into the description field of the second form automatically?

    Cheers

    Hello Doujon,

I’m sorry but this isn’t possible to do. There would need to be some sort of interface to be able to know that when you scan a value into one form that it should go get the data from a different form. And I haven’t built anything like that. That being said, you can use the Link to Form field type to link forms together. But it’s not exactly what you’re looking for.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
