Hi! I need a photo field that allows me to pull an image out of TapForms and use it elsewhere. Right now, all I can do is look at the image. I can set up a file and duplicate images into it, but who wants to carry all that extra weight on the hard drive.
Is this idea on the to-do list for TapForms developers?
Thanks!
Hi,
in the mac version you can simply copy the photo’s by selecting the photo with click an hold and then pull the photo on your desktop for instance.

Hi Dena,
You can also just drag the photo to your desktop to use it elsewhere.
Thanks,
Brendan
Thanks to you both! I did that just now and it worked, although it gave me problems earlier.
Is there any specification about where the original photo must be or the form it must be in before you drag it into Tap Forms, to make sure you can drag it out to the desktop and use it?
Dena
Hi Dena,
Not that I am aware of. You have a wide variety of ways of getting a photo into Tap Forms. I guess what I also need to add is a “Show in Finder” function to the Photo field too.
Thanks,
Brendan
Yes, Brendan, a “show in finder” feature would indeed be a help. The key for me is that when I drag a photo out of Tap Forms and onto my desktop, I need it to come out as a photo, not as a link or clipping. It’s all about saving time, isn’t it?
Thanks very much for your help.
Bye for now.
Dena
Hi Dena,
Hmm… Well, it should be a photo. In all my tests it comes out as a photo. Because I put photos into it. So a Photo comes out of it. At least in my tests.
Thanks,
Brendan
