    Evening all,
Thanks Brenden for sorting my sign in issues out.
Not a very tech-minded person, so please bare with me.

I want to use Tapforms at a professional business level,I mainly use my phone and iPad version on the go as I am a security consultant.

I do however have two main issues which is leaving me struggling at the moment.

1 – Export/save the individual ‘Default layout’ direct to PDF form, so I can send a record to the client via email or cloud based service.

2 – Why when creating my own layout will a second page not automatically populate?
It means that I cant use it for larger forms if I want to print it out or create my own layout. Which really restricts the use of it.

    cheers for any help

    Hi Richie,

    1. If you use the Print command you can click on the PDF button at the bottom-left of the Print panel. There’s a Mail PDF option there which will do what you want. If you have the Default Layout selected, Tap Forms will print that. If you have a custom layout selected, Tap Forms will print that.

    2. You could create a separate custom layout for your Page 2 content and put different fields on it. You would of course have to print Page 1 first and then Page 2 and then manually collate your output, but it is possible. I hope to add a function to allow you to either specify multiple pages per custom layout or to allow you to join multiple custom layouts together so when you print one, Tap Forms will also print the linked layout as well. But that’s just an idea at this point in time.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

I too would like the ability to add a second or third page to a layout. I use it for sending client proposals and they can run long.

In Tap Forms 5.3 which I’m currently working on, I’ve added a Print Next function which will let you choose another layout so that when you print a layout, Tap Forms will cycle between layouts for each record. Thus giving you the ability to print multiple pages per record, each with different layouts. But each layout must still contain boxes that will hold all the text to be displayed. That is, you can’t spill over a big note field from one page to another. That is something I plan on addressing in a future version with a new reporting engine I’d like to build. Haven’t started on that yet other than the thinking about it stage.
