I have a long table, about 140 lines, two columns. When I copy the text from my spreadsheet into TFP, the data does not transfer into the TFP table correctly. The formerly sorted lines do not match the original order in the two columns. Or perhaps to make it clearer, the items in the first column are no longer matched to the items in the second column.

There also seems to be some issue in pasting such data into a table like this. I had to work at it to get the entire 140 rows to paste instead of just the first row.

Is it a Table field you’re referring to or the multi-column list view?

If you have an example you could send me that would be helpful.

    Table field.

Attached are two screen shots. The first is what appears in the table field in TFP. The second is the table in a Numbers spreadsheet. Essentially I created a table (in Numbers) of two identical columns. (ABC’s) (See TFP-Numbers). I copy and paste them in TFP and they are not aligned. (See TFP-Table)

This worked reasonably well in TF5, BTW.

Thanks for the clarification that it’s Table fields.

So it seems to have to do with the sorting of the records. Tap Forms is re-sorting the records after every value that gets put into the fields. So it’s doing that too quickly and so the table fields are moving around before the next value gets pasted into the next cell.

    I’ll work on that.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
