Number field and Duration: entry problem

Hi,

just bought the full version, pretty great app, thanks!

I have an issue with the number field, though. I want to use it to track a duration. When I set the format to “Time (hrs, mins)” I have to enter the duration in seconds to get the correct result, which is impractical.

Is there a way around that problem? Using a start and end time isn’t feasible in my case.

The time formatters on a Number field are just a byproduct of the time formatters for date calculations. Because when you subtract two dates from each other, Tap Forms generates the number of seconds between the two dates. That’s why you need to enter in the number of seconds.

What you need is a proper duration field type. I haven’t added one of those to Tap Forms, but I’ll see what can be done for a future update.
