John HamillParticipantI am using an iPad Air running iOS 18.5 (Tapforms 5.3.9).
When viewing a number or bullet list on iPad the number of bullet is “doubled”. The list was originally formatted on Tapforms iMac. There seems to be no problem on iPhone – it seems confined to iPad. Image enclosed.
Any help appreciated.

BrendanKeymasterHi John,
I don’t know if it’s something that Apple caused with the iOS 18.5 update or what because I haven’t modified any of that Note field code in a very very long time.
Someone else recently mentioned that to me about the iPhone version of Tap Forms 5.3.39 too.
I’m wondering if maybe you typed in the individual numbers manually rather than using bulleted formatting and then maybe iOS 18.5 is seeing that and converting it to a bulleted list, but not removing the original numbers?
You could try deleting the extra numbers and see if it stays bulleted.
Thanks,
Brendan

John HamillParticipantHello Brendan,
This happens on every bulleted list that I have created. What I have done to test it is:
1. On the iMac, unformatted the list
2. Synced to iPad (it looks as on the iMac)
3. On the iMac, formatted the list as numbered list
4. Synced to iPad (and it “doubles”)If I delete the rightmost numbers on the iPad, all numbers disappear on the iMac.
If I delete the leftmost numbers on the iPad, you start to get hanging tab problems (a mess, somewhere I do not wish to go).It gets really bad when the text is longer than a single line (see enclosed image).
My iPad has just come back from repair (it is a new iPad – so, this might be the first time I have used Tapforms on iOS 18.5). My iPod touch utilises 15.8.3 and it is fine. Of course, you cannot go back a version on iOS, I believe (can you?).

BrendanKeymasterYa, I’ve seen this now and another customer reported this issue too. I haven’t made any changes to the Note field editor on macOS or iOS in a very very long time. So I don’t know why it’s suddenly behaving this way. I haven’t even posted an update to Tap Forms 5 in 2 months. I’ve been working on Tap Forms Pro all this time. And oddly enough though, this doesn’t happen on Tap Forms Pro, although I am using a completely different Note field editor in Tap Forms Pro that gives you access to the rich text formatting tools. But the underlying control is still a UITextView. I don’t know how to resolve this issue at the moment, well, other than to update to Tap Forms Pro.
