is there anyway to stop the time showing up in a calculation date field?

Yes, set the date format to what you want and the time format to default… in the inspector panel of the calculation field. that works for me anyway.

Got that to on the full date, but when using the ones…DD-MM-YYY for example the time is gone.
the short, middle and full retrieve the format from the system…
