Steve-Kai VyskaParticipantHello everyone,
I think I found a bug. I have two forms (“Haus”, “Wohnungen”). When I open the database in the “Haus” form, I can open the corresponding record in the subform by clicking on the entries. Going back also works, as does switching between the individual houses.
But if I switch to another form once and then back to “Häuser”, I can still see the listings in the subform, but when I click on an entry I only get an empty form. If you close the database completely and open it again in the “Häuser” form, everything works perfectly again—until you directly switch the form.
Did I make a mistake somewhere that causes this, or is it a bug in the system?
Best regards,
Steve-

BrendanKeymasterHi Steve-Kai,
Thanks for sending the form. That’s interesting. It’s a Join Link Type relationship.
But I’m curious why you’re using the internal record ID values for the join? Essentially you’re simulating the Many to Many link type because Tap Forms uses those internally to do the joins.
I’ll have to spend some time analyzing this to see why the child record is being displayed in the table view, but not when you visit the record by double-clicking on the row number (or clicking the arrow button).
Thanks,
Brendan

BrendanKeymasterI’ve fixed this for the next update. Thanks for the sample document. You didn’t do anything wrong. Tap Forms was losing track of the selected record, so it was displaying the no selected record screen when you navigated into a Join relationship.

BrendanKeymasterI’ve just submitted the next update to Apple for review a few minutes ago. Got your fix in just in time.

Steve-Kai VyskaParticipantHi Branden,
that sounds great. I used the direct joint connection because I had the same error once before and hoped to avoid it that way, assuming the issue was on my side. I’ll test it tonight when I get home, both with the direct connection and the normal one. I’ll report back.

Steve-Kai VyskaParticipantHi,
is the Fit already online? I’v 1.0.14 B409 and it is still not working, or has my update not worked?
Greetings
Steve

BrendanKeymasterI’m still waiting for Apple to approve the new update. It will be version 1.0.15.
