Hello, I just ran across this database about 30 minutes ago. It does look promising. I am going to take a wild guess and say it is relational. I have a few questions about this if I could. I want to make a form, to fill out on an iPad then be able to convert to a pdf then send off to another location from the iPad. When I get back in the office I want to be able to sync it up to my mac to save it. I would pull up the form every year to update as it is an inspection form. Part of the info on each new form would always be the same and would automatically fill in when a new record is pulled up. I would also like to be able to have a drop down menu with say a list of the fire departments in my area and when selecting the one I need have it automatically fill the rest of the info in like address city phone# email address ect. Other than that it would be mostly check boxes and such to compile the info from each location.
Is this possible with this software?
Hi Peter,
Tap Forms is relational in the sense that you can link forms together into relationships. It doesn’t yet support foreign keys though. You can link records from one form to another by selecting them or having Tap Forms create the relationship for you when you add a child record to a parent record.
Tap Forms has Pick Lists which you could use to pull up a list of fire stations to select from. Pick Lists are like drop down menus.
You can certainly download the Mac version 5 free trial and see if it suits your needs before committing:
