    Hi Brendan
    When the new major rewrite comes out, what will be the minimum OS needed to run it? I fear that the next OS UPDATE MAY WELL BE ON THE WAY ALREADY ( WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO US????) and so will have to upgrade at some point though not keen to do so as all I want to do is working smoothly ( apart from Safari which is a b****y pain!)

    Hi Tony,

    iOS 9 is required for the upgrade as well as OS X 10.11. The main reason for that is the use of Apple’s new Contacts framework. The old AddressBook framework has been deprecated. So rather than littering my code with statements to use the older AddressBook framework vs. the new Contacts framework, I’m going to just support iOS 9 and OS X 10.11. I’m sure there will be a new OS X and iOS in the summer time though.
