Version 4.0.7 is available now. It includes a migration function to transfer your database from the old to the new version. However, you only need to migrate once on one device and then transfer the already migrated database to your other Tap Forms 5 devices.

Hi brendan, congrats! Just bought the mac app. Looks great. Just bought iOS version. But i can’t get sync on wifi to show up. Have restarted iOS a few times. Haven’t restarted mac yet, i guess thats next. But my mac can’t see my iPad so far.

Not being a nag, just clarifying vague last post. Rebooted both versions. Deleted app on both started over. With mac and iOS both open. On mac i can see my iOS device, I highlight it, click select button, select button turns to waiting. But on iOS “no nearby devices” is shown and nothing appears on iOS under nearby devices even after a few minutes. But after 5-10 minutes when iOS sleeps, it disappears from mac nearby window so mac is finding it, its iOS can’t find my mac..
But on just 10-20 minutes playing with mac version it looks clean, seems a lot quicker, can’t wait to dig in.

I’m a big fan of Tapforms for iOS and use it every day, so had no issue paying to change to the new version, even though I couldn’t see there are really any useful new features for my use. I imagine support for the old version will reduce in time, so figured that’s another reason to upgrade.
However, I have to say I’m a bit disappointed there’s now no iCloud or Dropbox synching and that I would have to sign up to some other IBM synching service (or presumably buy the desktop version) to synch at all. Is there a reason for this? Any chance of reinstating other synching options? Otherwise I’ve actually paid extra (even with the discount it’s $13.99 in my country) to lose features.
Just found a bug, too (hope it is a bug and not a new feature):
The tools>customise forms button is missing in this version. It used to sit above the ‘edit categories’ button, but it’s been replaced by ‘files’
I exported from the old vids version, then somehow got a copy of it into v5.
But although the structure if my databases is there, they contain no data after migration, They all have 0 records
Any help available? Thank you
