Feature request: It would be nice to be able to have more than 1 multi-column list view for the purpose of showing / hiding different columns on each one.

The reason is: since TF does not provide the ability to perform calculations across multiple forms, I have to have a single form perform multiple functions and not all functions are pertinent to every record. Having a list view of the different combinations of relevant values would be very helpful.

I had faint hopes of doing this with a custom layout but no luck.

I’m really not sure what you mean by multiple multi-column list views. Could you draw it out in a PDF file or something so I can see what you mean? Sounds like a very specific use case to me.

Let me try to put it another way: I’m requesting custom layouts for the MCLV.

So, in the same way that in the Default View we can add custom layouts and select which fields are displayed…

…I’d like to be able to do the same for the MCLV but be able to choose different set of columns

MLCV, where custom layouts would appear

I’d be interested in knowing how many other users commonly switch around their columns in the MLCV to suit different needs and would like a means of saving those layouts in order to go back to them later.

Well one thing I’ve done is you can change the sort options on a per saved search basis. And what I’ve been meaning to add is the ability to choose which columns are displayed for each saved search independently of the main form. Would that suffice?

Yep, that would work! Though soon you’ll have me asking for a means of organizing searches into subfolders…
