Monty CookParticipantIs there a way to rearrange columns in the table view? I have tried various things without success.

BrendanKeymasterHi Monty,
Drag your fields up and down in the Fields list on the right. You can see that list when you click on the Form button in the toolbar. That will rearrange the fields in the multi-column list view.
Thanks!
Brendan

Monty CookParticipantThank you Brendan.

Chris WardParticipantYes this works, except that the column width retains the width of the previous fields, and does not acquire the width of the newly moved fields. A little fix for that would be nice.

PICOT Jean-BernardParticipantWith Version 5, this does not seem possible anymore in table view (I mean: moving columns left to right by dragging up and down)

Sam MoffattParticipantIn the multicolumn list view/table view, there is a button on the far right to show the field list. When you re-arrange using this dialog, make sure you click “Save” on the top right of the popover that appears otherwise when you close out the dialog the fields will not be updated.

PICOT Jean-BernardParticipantYes indeed. I confirm after having discovered it by surprise today, just before your comment.
For the followers of this item, to explain again, it is NOT the form button to press (which gives access to fields and scripts and arrangement of the default form), BUT to the very little button (showing drawing of tools) on the upright of the table view (very small indeed) and give you access to possibly hide (or not) table columns and arrange their order from left to right.
Thanks for commenting.

Sam MoffattParticipantGreat to hear you figured it out! There are lots of little buttons and icons all over Tap Forms, Brendan’s packing an insane amount of functionality into the UI. It’s truly impressive all of the little knobs he has in this tool.
