Bradley PatonParticipantI have a form for tracking details of sales. I calculate the total monthly sales on the form. At the end of the month I duplicate the form to start a fresh month.
I also have a customer contact master form that includes links to other forms. I would like to include a link to the sales forms relating to a given customer with out having to set up a link for every month.
Any suggestions?

BrendanKeymasterHi Bradley,
Rather than duplicating the form for every month, how about just creating saved searches that separate out the months? That way you don’t have to setup any new links to your other forms and you can filter your data by the month you want.

Bradley PatonParticipantThank you Brendan,
Works beautifully and opens up all sorts of other possibilities. While I have been using tapforms for a few years it is gradually taking over from other quite good apps mainly due to its flexibility and the support.

Bradley PatonParticipantPS. Basic date and name sorting on they imported files would kick it up a notch. (-:

BrendanKeymasterHI Bradley,
Are you referring to the Files area? Or Forms list? Both sort alphabetically already.

Bradley PatonParticipantGood Afternoon Brendan,
If you have 300 imported files and add a new file for linking to a record that starts with the letter “t”, you have to scroll through 100 or 200 files to find the one you just added.
As the year goes on this will get worse.
While it would be convenient to have files linked inside of Tapforms I am contemplating just storing the file name in a text field then when I want the file, copy the text and past it into search in PDF Expert which is synced to Dropbox.
Also not being able to search on company names in contacts is a little frustrating.
The contact field sorts on the Christian name. Is there a way to sort on the surname?
Regards,
Bradley Paton

BrendanKeymasterBradley,
If the Contact is marked as being a Company in the Contacts app, then when you select it in Tap Forms, it will copy in the Company Name into the Tap Forms field. Tap Forms just searches on whatever value was copied in.
I understand about the need for a search function on the Files screen. It would be nice to have it indexed alphabetically on the right also so you could quickly scroll to different sections.
Thanks,
Brendan
