    Hallo,

    Vielen Dank.

    Hello,

If I don’t switch to Tap Forms Pro, can I continue to use Tap Forms 5 without restrictions? Or will it eventually stop working altogether?
Can you say how many more years it will run?
Will Tap Forms 5 still receive updates?

    Thank you.

Tap Forms 5 will continue to work on an Intel Mac indefinitely. On an Apple Silicon Mac it will cease to function when Apple removes Rosetta in macOS 28.

I have one update for Tap Forms Mac 5 which fixes an issue that macOS Tahoe causes by preventing the Import Records window from appearing. I’ll release that to Apple for review when macOS Tahoe is released to the public.

All new features an updates will be for Tap Forms Pro.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

    Vielen Dank.

Thanks. Does that mean I can continue to use Tab Forms 5 (without Pro) without restrictions for about two more years?

It would be nice if you offered a one-time purchase version until then, because I certainly won’t buy a subscription, on principle.

    Thank you very much.

Yes, you can certainly use Tap Forms 5 for as long as you can with the hardware and software you have. If you only have an Apple Silicon Mac, then you’re required to use Rosetta to be able to launch Intel CPU compiled apps.
