    Hi

Is it normal behavior in the iPhone version, that the photos in the list view and the record view are not rendered in retina quality? Only if I tap the picture in the detailed view again it will render in retina quality.
And oddly, sometimes if I sync with the Mac version, it will push the lowres pictures into the mac single column view. This is then only resolved by switching the size of the miniature pictures.
Is there something I can do about this?

    Thank you very much

    Adrian

    Hi

I tried with the new versions and it still pushes the lowres versions from the iphone view to the single column view in the mac version. Only switching the size of the miniature pictures in the photo field restores the high res versions.

    any idea?

    thank you very much

    Hi Adrian,

Thumbnails are either 42, 64, or 125 pixels wide depending on the size you select. There are differences in the densities of the displays between platforms, so it may be more apparent on one device or the other that the quality of the images are different. But I probably should double the amount of pixels I use to store the thumbnails. Thumbnail images are actually stored in the database and I wanted to limit the amount of space used by thumbnails.

The code to generate the thumbnails is also different between Mac and iOS, so that may be causing some issues also. I’ll have to do some investigations.

Not a great answer for you though. Sorry about that.
