New user. Have phone and iPad versions synched with iCloud. Product is very easy and nice to use.
I have a database of parts. One of the fields I have created is a check box for replenishment. I want to query the database by the field replenishment to make a shopping list. I see its pretty easy to make a quick export and then do it in excel.
Is it possible to do this (query a specific field) from within the app on the iPad or iPhone?
It would be great if I could have my phone with me at the parts warehouse and work from within the app vs having to export the report.
Hi Scott and welcome to the forum
I think the following may be close to what you are seeking:
a. While in the parts form, go to search by pressing the search magnifying glass button top left
b. Press the “+” to create a new search
c. Tap the “+” button to add a new rule
d. Field name>Select a field
e. Select your check-box replenishment field
f. Define the Search Rule: Replenishment…is….ON. SAVE
Return to your form, and the next time you press the search button, your saved search is there. Select your saved search and only the records meeting your search rule will appear. From there You may export or email the records if you want. If you’re at the parts warehouse and picking items, change your replenishment field to OFF as you go–only the remaining items not yet picked would remain in the search list.
Hope this helps. Other participants may have more useful suggestions.
