iOS to iMac sync not working

I made changes on a database on iPad.

I followed the bare instructions on iPad for airdropping the file to iMac. Opened the file in iMac, and iPad said “syncing with…iMac.” But nothing ever got to mac.

The instructions were a bit spare. Is there someplace I might find step by step instructions?

Which sync service are you using?

If you used AirDrop to send the file from your iOS device to your Mac, then you wouldn’t notice any changes after you opened the document because they would effectively already be in sync. Although it would still go through the syncing process.
