Hi Brendan, I have my iPhone version of Tap Form Pro set to iCloud Sync, but sometimes when I’ve noticed the sync not working, I’ve discovered it’s because it has reset itself to None. It doesn’t do it all the time, but it’s happened a few times. Any idea why?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Oh that’s odd. No, I haven’t seen this happen before. But it could be that an error occurred during the sync and the sync framework turned it off so it could start fresh again. I’ll see if I can reproduce this.

Quick update: since I posted this three days ago, the iOS version has remained synced to iCloud, until this evening when I noticed it had reset to None again. I can’t think of anything different I did today compared with the previous days, so no clues I’m afraid.

I’m seeing this as well with one of my docs. It seems to randomly change back to None. Not sure if this is a clue or not, but it’s one that I created on my mac, sync’d with icloud, then downloaded onto my phone’s instance of TF pro. It’s not downloading all the records nor all of the data within the records. Not sure what is unique about this one.

I’m experiencing this as well. I created a document on Mac. Worked on it on my iPhone, then worked on it on my iPad. I would make a change on my iPad. Not too long later the document would revert and the change would be gone. I’ve been sticking to using the iPad and leaving the sync at none.

Not sure if it’s related, or expected; but I’ve noticed that after some changes the app crashes. Everything seems fine when I open it again.

@Nathan, maybe try re-uploading it from your Mac to iCloud and re-download to your other devices see if that solves the problem for you.

Still can’t identify a pattern for when the iPhone switches to None, but I just had a look and it’s done it again having been fine for a few days. The last time it did it was after a software upgrade from Apple, which might have been coincidence. Once I switch it back to iCloud Sync, it’s fine and the records are up to date, which sounds slightly different from the other people’s problems.

Hey Brendan, that does solve my problem, but only temporarily. When I add records on either device, they eventually get out of sync. I did the re-upload/download routine last night, and it worked fine, but the syn option went back to ‘none’. Weird, but I’m sure you’ll get it worked out. :)
