I’m unable to select/insert photos for records on iPhone 8 (iOS 11.2.1) Tap Forms 5.2.3. It is very slow and unresponsive and sometimes ending with the app crash.

Do you have a lot of photos or a lot of albums? I remember there was an old problem with that, but it had been corrected about a year ago. I haven’t heard of this issue recently.
no albums, but plenty of photos (sync with icloud) around 40000. I have other (similar) apps and they do not have this kind of the issue with photos. The only way I can insert a photo into the record is, by copying it in the photo app and after that paste it in tapforms app (single photo only). For each record, I need around 10-30 photos and therefore it is quite inconvenient :)

I know that Apple’s photo picker is fast to display that many photos. The one I’m using is a third-party open-source photo picker. So that’s probably why it’s slower. I needed to use that so that you could select multiple photos at once. The Apple photo picker only allowed the user to select a single photo at a time. Unfortunately I don’t have 40,000 photos (or anywhere close to that), so I can’t do performance testing on that many photos to see where the bottleneck is. For me with my 2000 or so photos, it’s very fast.
