I just started using TF today for the first time and love it. I created a form for my employees to take phone orders and capture the customers shipping or delivery info via iPad. I’d like to print to our receipt printers which are star micronics tsp100. They connect via Ethernet. Is this at all possible? The iPads print fine via ShopKeep (our POS software), but the printers aren’t AirPrint.
Thanks
Tap Forms only prints to AirPrint printers, but if you have Printopia (http://www.ecamm.com/mac/printopia/) on any of your computers then you can configure them to become AirPrint printers and print to a network printer.
Thanks,
Brendan
I went out and bought a Lantronix XprintServer so I could print to my receipt printers. I created a custom layout on my Mac to print what I need on the receipt but it appears the IOS devices still print the default layout? I know you can’t “view” custom forms from IOS currently but is there a way to print a record on a custom form?
Thanks
Hi Wade,
No, the iOS versions have no knowledge of the custom layouts that the Mac version does. So the iOS versions still print the Default Layout for a record.
