Peredo DoorParticipantThe iOS App crashes halfway through when doing a backup. My database is roughly 360MBs in size. Note that the app has always had this issue, even before Tapforms 5. I paid for the original apps and the for the upgrades so I really expect this to get fixed ASAP.
Also note that when it crashes it will contain an incomplete backup, requiring me to delete it.

BrendanKeymasterHi Peredo,
Just for safety for now until we can figure out the problem, you can use iTunes File Sharing to copy the .tapforms document from your iOS device to your computer.
I just tested the backup function with a 541.8 MB database and it didn’t crash. The backup file ended up being 495 MB. I’m using an iPhone 7 right now for testing.
Do you have enough free space on your device to hold the backup file?

Peredo DoorParticipantUnfortunately I wanted to export from my phone to my computer because for some mysterious reason the database on my Mac got corrupted. At the end of the day, I couldn’t get the export to work. Thankfully Time Machine kept a backup of the last working and updated version.I misread. Glad that I don’t need to export my data in order to get it back shall something similar happen next time.
Don’t you have a crash handler on the iOS app? I cannot send you my database because it contains private data, but I’d gladly send crash reports and we could try to work from there. I always had this crash in the previous version too.
Yes, my device currently has 32 GBs free.

BrendanKeymasterYes, I would like to see a crash report if you can get one for me.
I have Crashlytics in the Mac version, but not the iOS version. Xcode 8 gives crash reports for iOS apps, but it doesn’t include one important piece of information. It doesn’t say what caused the crash unfortunately.

Peredo DoorParticipantIMO you should just add Crashlytics to the iOS versions too. It’s very handy, and other than giving you desymbolicated logs it also notifies you if a crash you considered fix has happened again.

BrendanKeymasterYes, that’s a good idea.
