I am importing a comma-delimted text file. I have done this many times. Since I upgraded to the newest version (5.2.10), the form has been inserted into the Uncategorized section of All Forms instead of the same section of My Forms. Also, even though there are over five thousand records, it shows up as having none. It syncs as though there are that many records, but it is seen as empty.
Hi Mark,
Check to make sure your form has a First Sort Field set. If not the records won’t show. As soon as you set that, it will show the records.
As for going into Uncategorized, you could just drag the form up to whatever category you want it to be in. Or click on the Category button on the Form inspector panel.
Hi Brendan,
I try to select a first sort field and nothing is there. The forms list shows 0 records for this form, though the import records window shows 2559 records (not over 5,000 as I stated earlier). I understand about changing categories. The point is that this new form is going into All Forms. In the past it would go into My Forms. I would never before have to switch to All Forms to find it.
I’ve imported this form (from a Delicious Library export) a dozen times before. This time the outcome is different.
Thank you.
Mark
Did you enable the “Add missing fields to form” checkbox on the Import Records window before you clicked the Import button?
That may be the issue.
Brendan,
I’ve never enabled that before, but when I did just now, it fixed everything. Thank you.
Mark
