I’m testing out the trial version of tap forms (version 3, I have an old OS) and I’m wondering if I can import data from an old bento backup folder? I was using Bento for a long time after it was discontinued, but my laptop was stolen and I can’t run it anymore. It would be great if there was some way of rescuing the data.

Hi Helen,
If you email me your Bento backup file I can convert it to .bentoTemplate files for you which you can import into Tap Forms.
Tap Forms 5 however has a more advanced Bento importer that supports more of the field types from Bento, such as the Simple List field type, which is not supported in Tap Forms 3.5.

I’ll definitely consider buying the full software, but at the moment I’m testing out the trial version to see if it meets my needs… that’s what trials are for, right? Tap Forms 5 is £48.99 in the UK app store, not an insignificant amount of money, so it makes sense to try it out first.
