I have a document for my band with two forms. The Concert form contains a record for each concert we do with fields for date, time, and location. The SongBook form contains a record for each of the songs we can play with fields for song, key, lead singer. In addition, the Concerts form has a “link to” field with SongBook as the linked form, inverse on linked form selected, and a many to many relationship. (A concert can have many songs, and a song can be played at many concerts.) This works fine. In Concerts, for each concert, I can see the songs played, and in SongBook, for each song, I can see the concerts at which we played it.

On my iPad, in the Concerts form, I choose one of the concert records and then I choose one of the songs that’s in a field linked to the SongBook form. I swipe it to the left and see unlink and delete. I choose delete and the song is deleted from the SongBook form and every other concert record. If I choose unlink instead, the song is not removed from the SongBook form, but is unlinked in every concert record it was in.

So if I make an error and add the wrong song to a concert record, how can I remove it just from that one concert record?

Unlink “should” remove it from the one record, leaving it attached to all the other records.

Would you be able to email me a backup of your document so I can do some investigations with this? Send to support@tapforms.com

    Thanks,

    Brendan
