Is there any way to import a document not in the form of a CSV and maintaining the database information? Currently I am trying to share a document to a bunch of iPads in a file over iCloud. Each document has a Cloudant database ID I want to maintain. Is there a way to do this?
Hi Carl,
Are you trying to just sync a document with your iPads? Just use the Send Document function to send a copy of the document over to your iPads. No need to use iCloud for that. Especially if you’re already syncing with IBM Cloudant.
Thanks,
Brendan
No, we’re trying to store the documents in a repository for multiple iPads to be able to use whenever they need.
Maybe if you give me some background information. What do you mean y “document”? Do you mean a .tapforms document? That is, a database document that Tap Forms loads to get access to your forms and records?
What kind of repository is it that you’re using? GitHub? Some other system?
You can email .tapforms documents to iOS devices. If you get a mail attachment with a .tapforms document you can tap on it and tap on the “Open in Tap Forms” function.
