Hello everyone. Can you tell me how to cut and paste a record between documents in TapForms?
I have a main database of 302 names and have created another database of 15 names. These people on the second database come and go periodically.
I have all of their pertinent info on the main database it is a a paint in the to keep copying all of this info when I have to put them back on the secondary list. Can anyone help me? Thank you very much! Lyd
Hi Lyd,
The only way to do that would be to switch to the multi-column list view, then select a row, then press command-c to copy the field values.
Then switch to your other document, click on a row, then press command-v to paste the contents of the clipboard.
This would require that you have the exact same fields displayed in the exact same order for that form in both documents.
You could also just use the Export Records function to export a list of records from one form and import them into another.
It won’t copy complex data structures though such as locations, contacts, photos, file attachments, link to forms, tables, etc.
