My toddler erased some password data I had stored in Tap Forms while the App was open.  I have not yet synced my iphone and want to get that password data from the backup in ITunes website, but can’t figure out how to do this…can’t find /open a backup copy.  Can someone tell me how to do this?

    Hello Jbiggs,

You can use a program such as iPhone Backup Extractor to do this. You can download it from http://supercrazyawesome.com if you use a Mac. If you use a PC, then there’s an equivalent program at http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com

I have experience with the Mac version, but not with the PC version. What you need to do is look for a folder called com.clickspace.tapforms and retrieve the contents of the files from that. Once you’ve done that there’s a file inside the backup’s Documents folder called TapForms_db.sqlite. That’s the file which has your data in it.

You could restore that file by dragging it into the iTunes File Sharing area for Tap Forms. However, by doing that, you will overwrite the changes you have made since your toddler got a hold of your iPhone.

You can contact me directly at support@tapforms.com if you need further assistance with this.

    Thanks!

    Brendan
