Hi,
I’ve just started using Tapforms in my Business and have the Mac version.
It is very easy to use.
I am just about to buy it for a second MAC and intending using the iCloud sync to sync the databases. I know I have to use the same iCloud account on both Macs.
My question is that if I set up a custom layout on one MAC will this go by sync to the other Mac or do you do this by some other method?
My second question is that I want one form for my client contact details etc, and another form for the orders those clients are placing with me. Is it possible to have the same field in the second form for client code that then picks up the client name from the first form? If it cannot do this it is no problem, but may I suggest it for a future feature.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Hello Roger,
Thanks for using Tap Forms in your business.
1. Yes, Tap Forms syncs custom layouts. So if you make a custom layout on Mac 1, then you click the upload to iCloud button on Mac 1, your other Mac 2 will auto-sync and will be given the custom form also. Then if you make a change to the custom form on Mac 2 and then click the upload to iCloud button on Mac 2, your first Mac 1 will then get that change too.
2. You can do this by using an inverse relationship. That is, when you create a Link to Form field to connect your Clients form with your Orders form, click on the Show Inverse Relationship button to have Tap Forms automatically manage the inverse relationship for you. Then, when you add an Order to a Client, your Order will automatically link back to the Client for which it belongs.
Thanks!
Brendan
