Help – Tap Forms 5 opens database then loses access to forms

I have Tap forms 5 running on a iMac and Macbook Pro. Today I opened both separately and they worked normally. I use the Macbook for entering data while away from my desktop. It synced from my desktop copy, I entered the data and closed it.

The desktop version then started to behave very strangely. It opens normally, but if I do nothing, after a few seconds the display changes to mostly blank and only a couple of forms are displayed without any formatting.

For a while things worked normally on my laptop, then it did the same thing.

I have tried using restore as well as Time Machine restore but this now happens every time. I have lost access to all my data that took many hours to enter.

Help please.

Hi Stuart,

It sounds like you may have sync enabled which needs a reset.

I would suggest opening the document, disable iCloud Sync, then click the Delete from iCloud button.

Then restore your backup from Time Machine to a point before this started happening.

Then send that document over to your other Mac, replacing the one there with the recently restored document.

Then you can re-enable sync.
