    Hi,

I hope its ok to post this here.

I am a ceramicist and use tap forms to log my glaze research as well as firings and glaze, slip recipes and materials

    Its fantastic

But I’d love a way to quickly group together related records from different forms for the different projects I’m working on or the different glazes etc.

There is probably a way to do this on a per record basis and using the filtered search options – but I’d love a quicker easier way to do this and I though maybe a section of groups or folders in the sidebar (below where the forms are listed) would be great for this.

If you could then drag and drop records from whichever form your in – into these groups, then you could go to the group and view all those records together – using the image view especially this would be super useful for me to quickly organise and analyse my results (which are documented through images and text notes, recipes etc.)

I have tried to explain this is the screenshot attached.

let me know what you think,

    many thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the feature request. And yes, this is the right place to post something like this.

But this is also what the Favourites feature was designed for sort of. You can collect different records from different forms together and display them in one list.

    Thanks!

    Hi Brendan

Favourites is great. But the ability to add multiple lists of favourites with different names would be really useful.

There is a way to work it I have found

By making a new form called projects I can then use a link to form field in other forms to link multiple records to one project

But there are two problems with that workaround

I can’t seem to select multiple records at once and link them all to another record in the projects folder – this would speed things up massively. Drag and drop would be a nice extra – but multiple select and editing of multiple record fields at once would be a great addition I think ?

And when I go to view records linked to a specific project – I can only view them inaide a table view – where it would be more useful to view them using standard tap forms views liken image view and table view

    Hope this makes sense?

    Thanks for your help

    Chris

You can multi-select child records to link to one parent record. But you can’t link multiple parent records to a child record in one go. If that’s what you mean.
