John HamillParticipantOn iMac Tapforms Pro, any new “note type field” that I open defaults to Helvetica regular font, 14pt. Can I change this default? I encountered similar problems with fonts in Tapforms version 5 Mac. Nothing seems to have changed.
Even though I change the “note type field” to my preferred font, the next time I open a new note type field, it is back with Helvetica regular font, 14pt.
Regards.

BrendanKeymasterIs this on a custom layout? If so, click the Layout button to display the Layout Inspector panel. Then select your Note field object on the layout canvas. Then click the Font, Style, and Size for your font. Disable the Layout Inspector panel, then whenever you create a NEW record and type into the Note field on the custom layout, Tap Forms Pro will use the selected font for that Note field layout object.

John HamillParticipantNo, it is not a custom layout.
In Tapfroms 5 Mac, the font setting carried through from the previous font setting. So, if you used Arial 17pt on a “note type field”, the next “new” note type field that you opened would be set to Arial 17pt. It is not really a “default” font setting, but it sufficed.
Now every time I create a new record and a new “note type field”, I have to manually change my font setting. Every time !! Why the “choice” of always defaulting to “Helvetica, Regular, 14pt”? I do not know.
Regards.

BrendanKeymasterI’m looking into this now. I do see that it’s not storing the last selected font to the preferences like it should. I believe perhaps something changed either in the latest macOS or Xcode version I use to write Tap Forms Pro.
