In custom layouts, I would prefer that values in field are in the center of the field, rather than the bottom. In Excel there are three buttons to align a value at the bottom, middle or top of the cell.
The only way I can see to do it is to resize the cell. That’s a lot of work!
You can multi-select fields and then type in a new value for them all for the height if that’s easier for you. Unfortunately the NSTextField that I’m using isn’t very flexible when it comes to alignment options. You can centre horizontally pretty easily, but not vertically.
Okay, that wasn’t so bad! Verdana 12pt needs a height of 35 and it took less than five minutes to change all the fields on my several custom views.
