I would like to propose three levels of access within Tapforms
Level 1 (Designer) – Access to all features (as it is today) allowing new databases, forms, fields, records, etc.
Level 2 (Maintenance) – The user can add/remove records or select different forms from a database created by someone with level 1 access, but cannot change or add forms, fields, etc.
Level 3 (User) – The user may search a database and select display forms created by someone with level 1 access, but cannot add or remove records, forms, fields, etc.
Ideally the specific functionality associated with each access level could be set in preferences when passwords, or other means of validating access rights, are created.
Thank you for considering this,
Gary
Hi Gary,
That’s a great idea and something I would like to add to Tap Forms at some point. It’s something I’ve actually been thinking about adding for years. One of those next level evolutions of Tap Forms. Tricky to do in a distributed environment like Tap Forms where there’s no central server that’s managing user accounts and privileges.
Thanks!
Brendan
