Hi, I know this has been brought up before, but not heard anything in a while.
Now you’ve so little to do ;) I wondered if you were planning on incorporating PDF export. I use iPad in the field for logging jobs, materials etc, but I have to use another app to create a layout and send a PDF of the job certificate to clients. I’d obviously prefer to just use one and keep everything in one database.
Well done on the app!
Kind Regards
Hi Dominic,
One way to get a PDF right now is to use the Share function and export the record to iBooks as a PDF. There’s a function for that which shows up when you tap on the Share button when viewing the record details. I know it’s not super convenient to have to go through iBooks though.
Thanks for that. It would do as a workaround for now. One other question on the same subject- if I were to create a custom layout on Mac (I won’t ask for iOS custom layout again :)), could it be filled out on an iOS device and exported to PDF in the custom layout? I’ve not tried it yet, as I say I’ve used another app for just this feature up to now.
Keep up the good work!
Kind Regards,
You can fill out the data on iOS and when synced back to the Mac you can print from the custom layout. That works fine.
