InfiniteMonkeysParticipantHello,
First of all, I wanted to say I think you have created an excellent program. It is the first database software that caught my interest and which I ended up buying! Thanks for your efforts. I am a relatively basic user at this stage, and I have two questions:
1) Is it possible to edit multiple entries at the same time?
I currently have about 300 entries in my database and I later decided it would make more sense to split a particular field (a list, using a drop down menu) into multiple fields (again, drop down menus). There are batches of these entries where I’d like to give them the same value from the list. I tried selecting multiple entries, but it didn’t look as though I could edit them together; it looks as though I have to select each entry and set the value, one by one. As I would have to do this 300 times (per new field!), is there a quicker way of doing this?
2) Is there a way of linking to a single image rather than embedding the image with each entry (similar to how a web page handles images)?
I’ve been watching my database grow in size, currently about 32 MB, and I suspect that each time I add one of the relevant logos to each entry, it increases the size of the database. Is my understanding correct? Does each entry essentially re-import the graphic? Is there a way of using a URL, pointing to a folder on my hard drive which contains the logos, rather than re-importing the graphic each time?
Thanks in advance for your help.

BrendanKeymasterHi,
1. There’s no batch edit function yet in Tap Forms, but it’s something I will hopefully get to this year.
2. You can link to an existing file using the alias function in a File Attachment field that you’ve set to be a multi-file field. There’s a checkbox to turn that on when you configure your File Attachment field.
Thanks!
Brendan

InfiniteMonkeysParticipantThanks, Brendan!
The ability to edit multiple edits (batch edit) would be very, very welcome! It will save me a tremendous amount of time and could prove useful in future if I make any further changes to the available fields and their values.
I’ll take a look at your suggestion of using the File Attachment approach. Thanks.
