Dear Brendan,
I’m new to Tap Forms and I selected this software because I would like to manage the domains I register for my Clients.
Is there a way to edit multiple records at the same time. i.e. select various records and overwrite one or more fields at once?
For example, my domains usually have the same registrar, so instead of exporting to csv, making the change in Excel, and re-importing, I can do it within the app?
Another issue is that when exporting to Excel, date and time field loose the set reminder marker.
Hi Marco,
In my next Mac update I’ve added a “Fill Up/Down” function. You will be able to enter in a value in one field, then drag down or up to tell Tap Form to copy that value into all the records above or below the selected value.
Thanks,
Brendan
I likewise could use this in the Mac version. We routinely select a subset of the entered client list, then do a label printing. Need to be able to update all selected records with that mailing date (change a single field in all selected records). Thanks.
I’m looking for this feature right now. I don’t see it in the context menu or the main menus. Anyone?
Hah! Two seconds after I posted the previous question, I found it. The little yellow dot at the top and bottom of a field in the Table view. I wondered what those were for! I thought their purpose was to increase the height of the row, but no. Now I know – drag the yellow dot to fill additional records with the same value.
I should probably have a menu item for it too.
