The form icon syncs
But the document’s icon has not synced- is it meant to?

Yes, that’s actually the way it is.
The document itself is not a database and only the database itself syncs. So that means the icon does not sync. Sorry about that. You’ll just have to set it again on the other device. Although the icon on macOS is an actual image file set on it using code that’s not available on iOS, the iOS version uses Emoji characters to superimpose the icon on top of the document image.

Its no problem at all. I just wanted to make sure this was expected behaviour.
May I also check:
In your sync instructions it says you have to manually copy the document over to the other device before a sync relationship can start.
However, i have found i dont need to do this. I just create a document on (say) the ipad, put a form in it. And then after a couple of minutes the document appears automatically on the iphone- with the little cloud icon in its corner. All i do is tap on it a d it downloads and syncs from there in after.
Is this all expected behaviour? Just want to make sure im not doing anything wrong.
