Scoot MulnerParticipantHello,
I am running into a problem where neighbouring records (when sorted alphabetically) seems to end up with the same “Purchase Date” for some reason. Two or sometimes three records in a row will all display the same “Purchase Date”.
I am just starting out with Tap Forms 5 and I have imported the “HomeInventoryFM.tff” form from user “Chris Nichols” [thanks btw :) ]. I have tweaked it a bit to serve my own purposes and I am now in the process of manually entering data from my old Home Inventory software into Tap Forms 5 using this HomeInventoryFM.tff form. I have 15 records entered so far. The “Purchase Date” field; however, seems to have a mind of its own on occasion. The “Purchase Date” will randomly change to the value of a neighbouring record when the records are sorted alphabetically. If I try to change the “Purchase Date”, both records will change… or sometimes only the record I am actually editing will change, there doesn’t seem to be any consistency.
I have tried creating a new document, re-importing the form and starting fresh but after 3 records are entered, my “Purchase Date” fields start to duplicate each other again. I’m not sure what’s wrong here. The “Purchase Date” field is of type “Date” and the “Set Current Date” option is selected for the “Default Value”.
I thought it could have been a sync issue so when I started with the new document, I did not enable any sync’ing.
I have attached a screenshot and highlighted the errors. I have also attached my Home Inventory form template.
Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

BrendanKeymasterHi Scott,
This is actually a recent bug with the Date field.
I’ve fixed it for Tap Forms 5.2.5, but that’s still in beta testing and I’ll try to get it released after the 27th when Apple begins reviewing apps again.
If you quit Tap Forms and re-launch it, do the dates correct themselves? There was an issue where the date field was displaying the first date value entered into multiple records.
You could also try switching to the multi-column list view and enter your date values into there instead of into the Default Layout record details view. The issue was when entering dates into the Default Layout for new records.
Thanks,
Brendan

BrendanKeymasterHi Scott,
Let me know if you’d like access to the beta before I release it to the general public so you can verify my fix.
Just send an email to support@tapforms.com
Thanks!
