Alan HaymanParticipantHi Brendan,
When I upgraded from Tap Forms 5 to Tap Forms Pro, all the 18-point Note fields in my Custom View were changed to 12 point.
Changing them back one record at a time would take a lot of time.
Is there a way to make the default font size in Custom View 18 point?
Failing that, is there a way to select multiple records and change a Note field in those records to 18 point in Custom View?
Thanks.September 28, 2025 at 12:01 PM #53033
BrendanKeymasterHi Alan,
If you switch to layout edit mode, you can click on the Note field so the whole box is selected. Then select a font from the font inspector toolbar. That’ll change the default font for new notes. But it won’t change the font for every record.
To do that, switch to the Default Layout, then click the Note field edit button. Then select all the text in that Note and change the font style to what you’d like. Then save that and click the Apply Font Style to All Records button.
Thanks,
Brendan

Alan HaymanParticipantHi Brendan,
This works for a saved search of a small number of records, but if I try it for all the records in my database at one time (over 10,000!), it only fixes the one record I’m looking at. How can I do this for all the records at once?

BrendanKeymasterThat’s very odd. It should do it for every record as long as you have the main form selected and not one of your saved searches.

Alan HaymanParticipantHi Brendan,
I hadn’t selected the main form before. Now, I select the main form, showing over 15,000 records, and then perform the steps you indicated, in both the custom layout and the default layout, to change a certain field from 12 point to 18 point in all records. After saving the change, I see that the field that is showing does change to 18 point. Then I click on a saved search, and I see that field in another record is still 12 point. Am I doing something wrong, or does this not work?
Thanks.October 1, 2025 at 3:10 PM #53039
BrendanKeymasterYes, it should work. I just tested it again.
Mind you, the form I tested on only had 1200 records, but that shouldn’t matter.
So with the main form selected, you select all your text, then set the font, family, and size and then save, and then click the Apply to All Records button?
If you’d like to email me a backup of your document I can test it out here. Maybe there’s something specific to your document that’s preventing it from working.
