Dan CasParticipantI imported a database into TF and One of the fields is “email”, not the email address thats the default on TF. I need to sort by “next service date” in multi column view, and then highlight a limited group of email addresses then copy/paste those into an email that I send out.
The problem I’m having is that I can’t highlight only the email address: all fields are highlighted.
help please…
Thanks, Dan

BrendanKeymasterHi Dan,
This is a limitation of the table view that Tap Forms uses. It’s using the built-in one from the operating system and it doesn’t provide the ability to select individual cells. I am working on a replacement for this component that behaves more like a spreadsheet.
Thanks,
Brendan

BrendanKeymasterSo for now you’ll have to export your records as a CSV or Excel file and import them into another app to copy what you need.

Dan CasParticipantQuestion B:)
Can I export or copy/paste only selected records to Excel?
Thanks, Dan

BrendanKeymasterIf you setup a saved search to filter your records, when you use the Export Records command, Tap Forms will export only the records which match the filter.
Thanks,
Brendan

Greg KranawetterParticipantI am another Bento convert. I used this feature a lot on Bento. Enter data on phone, sync to Mac, eventually copy and paste a group of data (certain columns) from the grid view to Excel.

BrendanKeymasterI’m still working on a replacement for the table view that supports copy and paste. I have copy working, just not paste yet.

James BackusParticipantHi Brendan. Thank you for your fine work on Tap Forms. I purchased your product for Mac, iPad and iPhone in hopes of replacing Bento.
I am a minister and use Tap Forms for coordinating the content of our church’s worship services throughout the year. The liturgical content for each week comes from various other tables containing the hymns, versicles, Bible readings, sermon plans, choirs, etc., for each date. In the past I would “load” my Bento database from these other tables by pasting them into the table view of Bento.
The ability to add content to Tap Forms in this same way would be a great blessing to me and allow Tap Forms to fully replace Bento. Without it, my purchase of Tap Forms doesn’t meet my needs. Please accept this as encouragement in your efforts to support table view copy and paste.
I am eager and hopeful to see you succeed soon.
