I have a database with a pick list field. When I change the value of this field in a record, one of my other records in the database gets this field set to nothing (unset). When I fix that one, another record gets that field unset.
This is on the Mac (OS X Yosemite, 2013 Macbook Air). To fix it, I have to go to Tap Forms on one of my IOS devices, set the field for the record where it’s unset, and then sync it back.
This is very reproducible with this database. I haven’t experimented with my other databases to see if they are doing the same thing. A note that may or may not be useful: I duplicate my records frequently to create another “instance” with the same starting values, then go in and modify the duplicate to reflect the new record. Dunno if that affects anything and it may be irrelevant.

Hi Linda,
I will investigate this.
Which version number of Tap Forms are you using? And in which view are you making the changes? There’s the Default Layout, a custom layout, or the multi-column list view where you can make changes.
Thanks,
Brendan
Hi Brendan,
Thank you. I have 3.5.6 (build 720) of Tap Forms. The view is “Form”, which is the custom layout?
I’m not seeing it happen with “Default Layout”, or the multi-column list. So that, for me, may be a workaround, for now.
Let me know if you need more information, or I can try any suggestions.
thanks,
Linda
Ok, I think I’ve reproduced this problem so I’m working on a fix for it today.
I have the same problem. Have you found a fix yet?
Hi Robert,
Are you using version 3.5.7 of Tap Forms Mac yet? The fix for this should be in there.
Thanks,
Brendan
Thanks – I installed 3.5.7 today and the problem has gone.
