MarcusParticipantHi,
sorry for posting another bug report ?I am running more and more in issues pasting clipboard from a website content with tables in a memo field.
Tapforms is freezing completely after tap on save.
To reproduce:
1. Open this website:
https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp2. Start to select the caption „Company“ until the end to „Italy“
3. Copy and paste in a memo field
4. Save
Freezing !
That occurs on iOS (iPhone) with previous versions and with the latest available version fron TestFlight.
Paste plain isn‘t available unfortunately.

BrendanKeymasterHi Marcus,
For some reason, when a UILabel has attributed text that contains a table and that UILabel is set to truncate the content, it causes iOS to freeze. The solution is to set the # Summary Lines field option to 0 so that the entire table displays its contents.
That will prevent the freezing.
Thanks,
Brendan

MarcusParticipantThanks, Brendan.
This works, but is impractical in my cass
since I‘ve several memo fields with large text.If there’s no other way I will convert such cases before pasting.

BrendanKeymasterYou can enable the Plain Text Note option on the Field Options screen for your Note field. But then it won’t be formatted as a table. I really think the hanging is an Apple bug though. But it’s been there for years.

obisbisParticipantFYI, I ran into this issue today where TapForms froze then crashed after pasting a small (2 x 2) HTML table into a Note field. Can reproduce every time. The proposed workaround of setting the # Summary Lines field option to 0 seemed to work fine for me.
Just wanted to +1 for your tracking purposes :-)
Thanks.

BrendanKeymasterYa, it’s really annoying. I should file it as a bug with Apple.
