DreamingMDParticipantI use iPhone in French.
when I select a decimal number in a number field (e.g 50.35 it is interpreted as 50,35 which is ok in French),
when I type a decimal number (e.g 50.25, it is noted 50.25).
When I export, the field where the number is localized (e.g 50,35 ) zeroes the decimal part and I get 50,00 on the csv file.
I tried all the field options for numbers.
Could you solve this please,as I really need my data out.Thank you for the good work (bought the iPad version too, will buy the mac version soon).

DreamingMDParticipantOK. I figured out the bug. when I enter the figures with decimal point in the pick list as a comma, as used in France, it is not understood by Tap forms as a decimal point, even if in the local settings, the decimal point is shown as a comma. The right thing to do is to use a real decimal point in the pick list.
You could either check for this situation or warn users that the decimal point must be a period sign in the pick lists, whatever language they use.
Have a good week.
Please consider my previous suggestion to build a simple mail merge in Tap Forms for a letter-type report (not a rigid pdf form please, they are tons of these already).November 12, 2012 at 6:24 PM #5529
BrendanKeymasterI’ll look into this issue. The number value from the pick list should be turned into an actual Number. I believe it’s probably just storing the text value into the field, so it’s not quite right.
Thanks,
Brendan

Pierre RParticipantI seem to have encountered the same problem. I have a pick list with commas in my values eg: “hobbies – knitting, sewing”, “movement – walking, stretching”. Any work around other than to delete the commas?

BrendanKeymasterYou shouldn’t use commas within the values in a Pick List. It’s used as a delimiter for determining the different values. comma space actually.

Sam MoffattParticipantIn a previous life I used a pipe character as a delimiter because it was less likely to clash with someone than a comma.

BrendanKeymasterYa, I realize that a pipe or some other character would be much better. But I’m a bit stuck now because if I change it, it will bugger everyone’s Pick Lists up. Basically Tap Forms wouldn’t be able to put the checkmark next to the selected Pick List value if there was more than one value.
