Hi,
I would like you create a Birthday list with a reminder (Alert).
So far so good.
The Form I’ve created has two fields:
Name (Textfield)
Birthday (Date & Time Field)
When I enable the Alert in a recordset
I get a Push Notification as wanted.
But, and that’s my problem:
The Push Notification has this syntax:
<Name of Table>: <Name of the Date Field>
Is there a way to see the name (Textfield value) ?
When I tap on this notification, TapForms opens,
but the recordset will not be openend (this would be very helpful).
Hi Marcus,
The record the triggered the alert should open.
Is this the iPhone, iPad, or Mac version?
The Mac version has a Note field you type into that can display along with the alert. I meant to add that to the iOS version too, but haven’t gotten around to it just yet.
I just did a quick test and after you tap on the alert from the notification, Tap Forms launches and then displays the record that triggered the alert in a modal view.
Thanks,
Brendan
Hi Brendan,
it is an iPhone 6.
When I tap on the alert TapForms will be openend, but you can see only all forms,
the form and the recordset will not be openend.
This would be “nice to have”, but to be able to define the field shown in the Push Message would be much more helpful (of course in this case it would be interesting for WHAT this alert is instead of only to see the name of the date field, in this case the “Name” Field – or whatever – wouldbe helpful).
Thanks,
Marcus
Agreed. It’s something I’d like to add to Tap Forms at some point.
Thanks,
Brendan
