BrendanKeymasterThere’s no limit in Tap Forms for attachment file sizes, unless you’re referring to the new IBM Cloud system for syncing in which case they’ve imposed a file size limit of 1 MB.

gb 1953ParticipantThanks Brendan for fast answer and great software. I switched to Apache Coach DB and it works perfectly. May largest attachment is 117 MB. No problems
Thanks again and have a nice day

BrendanKeymasterExcellent!
Just out of curiosity, did you install it on your own Mac or are you using a cloud service like 1and1.com to host your CouchDB server?
Thanks!

gb 1953ParticipantFor security reasons I don’t trust any cloud providers, therefore I use my own MAC server with permanent IP address.Apache CouchDB is the best and secure option for sync Tap Forms what I’ve ever seen. My largest database >2GB for several months sync with no problems between all devices. My system contains of 5 Mac computers and many IOS devices(large family). For sync other files I use Owncloud https://owncloud.org. Everything is installed on Mac Pro.

BrendanKeymasterExcellent! That’s very cool!
There’s an Apache CouchDB setting which you can control that determines how large a request size can be made to the server. You can put it up to 4 GB.
[httpd] max_http_request_size = 4294967296So if you run into any issues with attachment sizes, just set that value (in bytes) to what you want.
